Current EMT classes

Thank you for your interest. We look forward to having you in one of our upcoming classes.
When we get our course numbers from the state, we will begin accepting applications / deposits.


We usually offer classes in January, April, and July.

Things you will need

You will need to be up to date on all shots. This includes the following:
- 2MMRs on your shot records
- a tetanus (Td) within the last 10 years
- 3 Hepatitis B shots (it is a series)
- a Varicella vaccine (or have had chicken pox)
- a PPD within the last 90 days
-Some clinical sites want a current flu shot on file.
- an 11 panel drug screen will be required before starting clinical rotations.
- a copy of High School Diploma or GED

*You do not have to have this done before classes start, but they must be complete before starting clinicals.


You will have to have a current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR card. (We do teach this class if you need one).



We are going to be using the AAOS EMT book (11th edition).

The cost of the books is included in the course cost. It is the "Preferred package" and includes the textbook, the E-workbook, and the Navigate test prep.


We will be providing the malpractice insurance for you as a part of the course cost.

The course will cost $1100.00. We will need a $300.00 non refundable deposit when you submit your application. All applications must be submitted no later then the first day of class. The deposit will be applied to your tuition cost. You may pick up books once the deposit is made.


We do have approval from MYCAA for dependants of Active Duty persons E5 and below to possibly recieve tuition assistance. You will have to contact MYCAA to see if you qualify.

GI Bill

Currently accepting GI Bill for those approved.

VA Tuition Assistance

Currently accepting VA Tuition Assistance for those who apply.

Payment Plans

We can set up a payment plan for you, but the deposit must be paid in full.


Once you submit your application, you will have to do a L1 background check at the Sylvan Learning Center at 4402 E. Central Texas Expressway, located behind Hallmark Restaurant on Stan Schluter and E CTE. You will have to schedule this appointment on line at When you get the results back, you will need to bring them to us to put into your student file.

Clinical Sites

We have clinical agreements with Darnall Army Hospital, Metroplex Hospital and Scott & White Hospital. (Seton Medical Center is pending.)
We have ride out agreements with Killeen Fire Department, Belton Fire Department and Harker Heights Fire Department.

Off Site Events

We will have a field trip to an Anatomy/Cadaver lab. The pending dates are TBA. You may attend one that is included with the course fees, and any additional trips will have an additional fee of $50.00 that must be paid prior to the departure to the class (space available).
Students must sign up on the sign-in sheet for this event. Students are limited to no more then 13 each trip. We will leave at 8:00am and return NLT 8:00pm. We will provide transportation, and a pizza lunch is included in the price. 


The ride out/clinical uniform will be the blue collared shirt from Bell County EMS Training, black or navy pants, and black shoes or boots.

First shirt will be included in the cost of the course, additional shirts will be $30. each.
